Larp Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Dowlen, the maker of Larp AI ("Larp AI", "we", "us"), when you use larpai.net, download the app, redeem a code, or buy a plan. By doing any of those you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The short version
- You get a license to use the app, not ownership of it. The software stays ours; you may use it under the plan you choose.
- You're responsible for what you make. Only swap or clone faces and voices you own or have permission to use, and never use Larp AI to harass, defraud, or deceive.
- Free and promo codes have no cash value, can be limited in number or time, are one per person unless we say otherwise, and licenses from codes that are abused, resold or obtained by fraud can be revoked.
- Some features rely on third-party AI. Optional, clearly labeled cloud features (such as ElevenLabs TTS and voice cloning) are also governed by those providers' terms.
- 14-day refund on first-time Pro and Lifetime purchases, no questions asked. See the Refund policy.
Your license to use Larp AI
Subject to these terms and your active plan (Lite, Pro subscription, or Lifetime Pro), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Larp AI on devices you own or control. A license covers one person on up to three of their own PCs (Windows today; the same key will cover Mac when it ships). You may not resell, rent, lend, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or any license key, except where the law expressly permits it. Streaming or recording yourself using Larp AI is of course fine — that's the point.
Plans, billing & refunds
- Lite is free, no card needed, and includes the real-time voice changer, soundboard, recorder and free TTS voices.
- Pro is a subscription billed in advance at the price shown on our Pricing page. It renews automatically until you cancel; cancel any time and it stops at the end of the paid period.
- Lifetime Pro is a one-time payment that unlocks all Pro features permanently on the app, plus one year of updates from the date of purchase. After that year you keep everything you have; new major features may require a renewal of the update period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Prices are in US dollars and may include tax depending on where you are.
- Prices and plan contents can change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- Refunds are handled under our Refund policy.
Free codes, promo codes & license keys
From time to time we issue free-trial codes (such as launch promos) and promo codes for creators and giveaways. Codes have no cash value, may be limited in quantity or time, and are for one person each unless the offer says otherwise. Redeeming a code gives you a license key by email; the key is tied to that email and to your own devices. Keys that are shared publicly, sold, generated by automation, or obtained by fraud can be revoked without refund, and we may block further redemptions from the same person.
Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to buy a plan or use Larp AI's face swap and voice cloning features. Larp AI is not for children. You're responsible for keeping your license key and any email account used for it secure, and for activity that happens with your key.
Acceptable & responsible use
Face swap and voice cloning are powerful, so they come with real responsibilities. By using Larp AI you agree to all of the following:
- Only faces and voices you own or have explicit permission to use. You will not swap to, clone, or imitate a real, identifiable person without that person's clear, informed consent.
- No non-consensual deepfakes. You will not use Larp AI to create, distribute, or publish any synthetic image, video, or audio of a real person without their consent, and never any sexual content involving a real person's likeness or any content involving minors.
- No fraud, harassment or deception. Larp AI is for lawful entertainment and creative use — streaming, Discord, content, games, pranks between friends who are in on it. It is not for identity verification, evidence, scams, social engineering, or misleading anyone about who is really speaking or appearing.
- You own the consequences. You are solely and legally responsible for every face, voice, likeness and piece of source material you put into the app, for the output, and for how you share or publish it, including compliance with all laws on likeness, publicity, privacy, defamation, intellectual property, and platform rules where you stream.
- Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Larp AI, Dowlen and Grant Dowlen from any claim, loss, or liability (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you create with the app or from your breach of these terms.
We may suspend or revoke a license, without refund, if we have good reason to believe it is being used to break these rules or the law.
Content you create
You keep ownership of the content you produce with Larp AI. Because the voice changer, soundboard, recorder and face swap run locally on your machine, we don't receive, store, or claim any rights in your recordings, streams, or source photos. The built-in voices, mascot, artwork and app design remain ours and our licensors'.
AI & third-party services
Some optional features send the text or audio you choose to a third-party provider — most notably ElevenLabs for premium text-to-speech and AI voice cloning. These features are labeled in the app, may require your own API key, and are also governed by the provider's own terms and usage policies. Virtual-camera and virtual-microphone output relies on third-party drivers (such as OBS Virtual Camera and VB-Cable) that have their own licenses.
Updates & availability
Larp AI checks for updates and installs them when you accept. Features marked "beta" or "coming soon" (for example macOS support and the Put Me In app) may change, be delayed, or be withdrawn. We may update, suspend, or modify parts of the service and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
Disclaimers & liability
Larp AI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Real-time audio and video processing depends on your hardware, drivers, and the platforms you stream to, which we don't control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Larp AI and Dowlen will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost revenue, data, or reputation, arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using Larp AI at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any subscription. We can terminate or suspend your license if you breach these terms. Sections on content responsibility, indemnity, disclaimers and liability survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where the law in your country gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the "Last updated" date when these terms change and, for material changes, give notice on the site or by email. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
